WOMEN OF WWII

This documentary shines a light on American women’s heroic actions both in the military and on the home-front throughout World War II that also served as the beginnings of a monumental societal gender based shift. The production chronicles the extraordinary scope of work that brought women out of the home, into the fight as military officers, weather service technicians, assembly-line riveters, railroad operators, pilots and code-breakers, and to their deserved place as patriotic members of the “Greatest Generation”. Eyewitness interviews and vintage footage bring this historic and socially important story to life.
